The game’s afoot! Austin Playhouse is delighted to once again present a famous Sherlockian tale, the Texas Premiere of Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville, A Sherlock Holmes Mystery. This inventive new adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Hound of the Baskervilles” finds the intrepid Holmes and his loyal companion Watson battling their most notorious mystery amid foggy London streets and the foreboding moors of the English countryside. When a mythical hellhound begins prowling in the mists, the great detective must use every ounce of his legendary wit and deductive power to crack the case before a family curse dooms its newest heir. With a cast of 5 actors juggling over 40 roles, Baskerville will be a fast-paced, pulse-pounding, and murderously funny ride.
Jason Newman will once again take on the role of Sherlock Holmes with Ben Wolfe as his Watson. They’ll be joined by Marie Fahlgren, Stephen Mercantel and Zac Thomas. The play is directed by Don Toner with set design by Mike Toner, costume design by Buffy Manners, lighting design by Don Day, and sound design by Joel Mercado-See.
Baskerville will be produced in Austin Playhouse's theatre at ACC's Highland Mall campus. Enter Highland Mall via Highland Mall Blvd and proceed to the South Entrance. Just keep Highland Mall on your right as you drive around and you'll reach the South Entrance!
