Triumph of Love turns the Damsel in Distress tale on its head with a plucky princess who will do "Anything" to get what she wants!
Princess Leonide of Sparta has fallen hopelessly in love with Agis, who unbeknownst to her is the rightful heir to her kingdom. Unfortunately, Agis has sworn to kill the Princess and reclaim his throne. Luckily, this Princess is anything but passive. In order to win Agis' love, Leonide takes on a series of increasingly absurd disguises and woos not only Agis, but also his over-protective guardians!
Filled with delightful comic characters and beautiful music inspired by everything from Sondheim to Samba, Triumph of Love is the perfect summer treat!

Triumph of Love is performed in Austin Playhouse's Highland Mall theatre.
