Celebrating 15 years as an Austin landmark theatre!

Austin Playhouse is turning 15 and you are invited to join the celebration at Highland Mall. From the initial dreams of its founders back in 2000 to today’s thriving theatre company, Austin Playhouse’s supporters have played a vital role in Austin Playhouse’s success.  Come celebrate 15 years of providing opportunities for Austin artists and audiences to celebrate the human experience through professional productions of classic, contemporary and musical plays.

Austin Playhouse 15th Anniversary Season
Our 2014-2015 Season opens with the Austin premiere of Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, September 19 - October 19, 2014, followed by the Austin premiere of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lilly by Katie Forgette, November 21 - December 21, 2014, the classic, 17th century comedy She Stoops to Conquer  by Oliver Goldsmith, February 13 - March 15, 2015, I’m Not Rappaport by Herb Gardner, starring Tom Parker and Billy Harden, April 3 - May 3, 2015.  The final show of the season will be the hit, Tony Award-winning musical Chicago, May 22 - June 28, 2015. In addition to our five-play season, Austin Playhouse will produce the Austin premiere of the recent Broadway hit The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, January 9 – 25, 2015.
